The Gospel is On the Move in Sudan

Ten years of civil war have created a spiritual hunger in Sudan. People are open to something other than Islam for the first time in centuries.

 

The relative peace of the last 18 months has created a window of opportunity to train Sudanese evangelists in church planting networks to translate Scripture as part of their evangelism and church planting strategy.

That window can close without warning.

 

The church planting evangelists love the training! "The translation process is so good!" said Michael, one of the translators. "It is fast, and it produces good translation!"

As they go, they train others.

 

Because of partners like you, unfoldingWord has been to Africa eight times since 2021, working with the Sudanese.

We're going back soon and, if God wills, through 2023 as part of our work to train church planting networks to translate the Bible for themselves with excellence.
